How do I know if my gown is right for Lineage?
Lineage prides itself on offering designer wedding gown luxury. If your authentic designer gown retails $2500 or above and is three years old or newer, we welcome your design. We require that your gown be dry cleaned upon listing on the Lineage site.
How do I list my gown?
We make it as simple as 1…2…3… (1) Prequalify your gown by filling out our NEW CLIENT FORM. Receive confirmation within 48 hours of your inquiry (2) Lineage will send you the Seller Agreement form. Read, sign and fax this back please (3) Lineage will call you to process your twenty-five dollar listing fee. As soon as your fee is processed, your gown will be posted within 24 hours.
Middle woman you say?
Yes, Lineage acts as your middle woman. You no longer have to speak directly with the buyer. As soon as a buyer inquires on your gown, Lineage informs you and we begin the transaction process.
How does Lineage guarantee the online purchase of my gown?
The buyer is required to pay Lineage before you ship the gown. Once the transaction is processed and approved, Lineage informs you to send your gown. The buyer then has three days to confirm that the gown they received is the gown they purchased. Once Lineage receives this confirmation, you are informed and guaranteed to receive a check in the mail by the 15th of the following month.
Does Lineage require a fee?
Yes. Lineage requires a twenty-five dollar listing fee. As an exclusive online listing site, Lineage assumes ten percent of the sale. To honor your dedication to Lineage, we will assume only five percent of your sale when you refer two friends and when your gown sells we will reimburse your listing fee.
Prequalify your wedding gown:
Wedding gowns are required to be three years or newer, retail $2500 or above and must be dry cleaned before listing on the site. Lineage requires you fill out our NEW CLIENT FORM, this will allow you to give a complete, detailed description of your wedding gown upon inquiry.
*Exceptions will be made for wedding gowns made from eco and sustainable products as well as unique vintage or classic gowns that are hard to find.
It is important that you provide the designer picture as well a picture of the designer tag found within the gown. Due to the number of boutiques making knock-off wedding gowns, we want to ensure our buyers that the purchase they are making is one of an authentic designer wedding gown.
* If possible please include two or three other pictures that show the true beauty of your gown to share with our buyers.
If you are having a hard time determining a selling price remember to consider the year as well as season of your gown, whether or not it was popular in the press or magazines as well as the length of time you spent in it. If you are selling a used gown consider marking 30-50% off the retail price. New and sample gowns please inquire on pricing details.

Most of our brides have an "All Sales Final" policy but some of you may want to offer the buyer the option of returning the gown. We give you this option. The seller of the gown can also include a 3-5% restocking fee if this option is decided upon.
