How can I be certain that the gown I am purchasing is the gown I will receive?

Lineage is there during every step of your transaction process. If the buyer inspects the gown purchased from the Lineage site and does not feel the seller has provided the product they described, the buyer can then return the gown at the expense of the seller.

Am I responsible for shipping costs?

Lineage advises our sellers to include the shipping costs in the total price of the wedding gown. Our buyers can be certain that the price they see is the price they will pay. There are no hidden fees.

What if the gown is too big on me, can it be altered?

Depending on the design and material, most wedding gowns can be altered. If you are worried, it is always best to ask your seamstress first. Provide them with the measurements of the gown as well as the material the dress is made from, their expertise should be enough to put your mind at ease.

Can I return the gown once it is purchased?

It is important to refer to the "Terms of Sale" section. This can be found on the page that lists the complete description of the gown you are purchasing. The seller may choose to make all sales final or they may give the seller the option of returning the gown if they are unsatisfied. Many sellers may require a restocking fee of 3-5%.

What is the difference between street size and dress size?

In bridal, most wedding gown sizes begin at size 2 and usually move in increments of two. Usually if the gown is listed as a dress size 6, it will fit the street size and body type of a size 4.

What does "Hollow-to-Hem" mean? Why is it important?

Hollow-to-hem is a very specific measurement used only for bridal gowns. The measurement is taken from the depression at the base of the neck just above the collarbone to the hem. When this measurement is taken the fullness of the dress should be accounted for and the tape should be held forward, away from the body, against the fullness of the dress. This measurement is useful for women who feel the dress might be too short.
